Background & History

Founder and principal of The Executive Benefits Guy, Peter M. Viliesis brings 20 years of experience in the development of creative strategies, resources and solutions for the generation, management, and protection  of wealth. Peter’s firm is focused on delivering greater client value for their executive benefit and ownership succession plans through strategic partnerships with their existing financial service professionals. His background includes extensive experience in the design, sale, and implementation of non-qualified executive retirement benefit plans. 
 
Peter also advises financial institutions on strategies to grow their presence in the small to mid-sized business market relying on his years of experience in the design and development of insurance products for the corporate marketplace.
  
Peter’s clients include large public corporations, large and small closely-held businesses, banking institutions, non-profit organizations, and professional partnerships throughout the country. 
 
Prior to opening his own firm, Peter was a Senior Consultant for two nationally recognized leaders in benefits consulting.  Peter also served various roles as Vice President of NFP Insurance Services, Inc., including oversight of the executive benefits practice, member firm business development, and new member recruiting for PartnersFinancial, a subsidiary producer group of NFP. 
 
 
Peter’s career in the financial services industry began in 1987, serving as Regional Marketing Manager for a large, multi-national life insurance company specializing in products for the corporate marketplace and high net-worth individuals.

 

 Professional Activities and Memberships
 

 

  • Mr. Viliesis has served as President of the Board of Directors for the Dallas Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP), the nation’s seventh largest chapter dedicated to the ongoing education and ethical guidance of professionals serving in the financial services industry.
  • He is also a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriters (AALU) where he serves on the Nonqualified Plans Committee, and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
  • Peter has published several articles on executive benefit planning topics , spoken on numerous occassions for various financial service industry providers , and provided CPE and CLE education seminars for tax professionals.

 

 Education

  •  Peter is a graduate from the University of Georgia, where he earned his B.B.A. degree in Marketing.
  • He has also earned the professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from the American College, and is a Fellow with Distinction of the Life Management Institute (FLMI).
  • Peter holds life and health insurance licenses in numerous states and is securities licensed as an Investment Advisor with NFP Securities, Inc.
